Christopher Sawyer is one of the founding directors of SITE OFFICE, a leading landscape architecture practice based in Melbourne, Australia. In 2013, he became Adjunct Professor in Landscape Architect at RMIT University in recognition of his significant contribution to the practice of landscape architecture. Chris is an active member of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA).
He believes that every project should be an exploration of ideas and supports a studio based, collaborative approach to practice. Chris plays a central design and managerial role in all projects undertaken, placing great emphasis on the development of design projects from concept through to documentation and construction. Chris has worked on many exciting and successful public projects from larger scale urban design and master planning through to detailed public space design. The success of these projects is evidenced by the number of design awards SITE OFFICE has received for its work.
