Shelley Penn is an award-winning architect who also advises, writes and teaches about architecture and urbanism. Her work includes advice to government and the private sector on design matters for numerous developments and public places across all scales. Shelley was the Associate Victorian Government Architect from 2006 – 2010.

She was Deputy Chair of the Heritage Council of Victoria for four years, and a board member of the Linking Melbourne Authority. She is a Life Fellow and past National President of the Australian Institute of Architects, was the Chair of the National Capital Authority and is currently Manager of the Design Studio at Melbourne City Council.

Through her practice, advocacy and advisory work, and in all of her roles, Shelley is committed to improving the quality of the built environment through the poetic capacity of high quality architecture and public places to enrich the human condition.
