Robert was a founding director of Hayball. He has engaged with the contemporary practice and making of architecture. He is conscious of what benefits architecture can offer the wider community in terms of the quality of the urban environment, despite the constant and complex pressures of finance, politics and climate change.
He is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.
His involvement in design projects in Australia and overseas includes:
- master planning and design of new communities
- multi-level residential and commercial projects
- refurbishment of historic buildings
- single housing
- community infrastructure
