Louise Wright

Architect 

 

Louise Wright is a practicing architect and a director of Baracco+Wright Architects. She has a PhD in Architecture and is a registered architect in Victoria, Australia. Louise received an Australian Research Council Postgraduate Award (industry) scholarship and in 2012 she won the Australian Architectural Services Award for client services.

In 2017, Louise was appointed in the role of Creative Director with Mauro Baracco in collaboration with Linda Tegg, of the Australian Pavilion at the 16th International Venice Biennale di Architettura 2018.

Louise has continuously lectured in and taught architectural design at RMIT University in Undergraduate and Masters program in Architecture and Landscape Architecture since 2000, and at Monash University since 2011.

Louise’s design experience, activity across disciplines as well as research affords her a unique capacity to consider design from many aspects. Her particular area of interest is the relationship of design to the natural environment.
