Anabel Adler Anabel Adler

Anabel Adler is an urban designer with over 15 years of experience gained working across the public and private sectors. She has insight in working collaboratively with the many built environment experts involved in local and state governments in Victoria. In her role as coordinator for the Victorian Design Review Panel, Anabel is a primary point of contact for design review. Her OVGA impact includes:

  • coordination of VDRP processes across various typologies including housing, health, civic and cultural
  • advocacy for design focussed planning policy reform
  • advocacy to elevate urban design as a critical project component.

Anabel is a strong advocate for the benefits of peer design review processes on all project outcomes and she provides guidance and advice on this to industry, state and local government and external stakeholders. Her work as coordinator with the VDRP includes:

  • engaging across government on the benefits of the peer review process, identifying and scheduling projects for review
  • briefing relevant parties on design review processes
  • nominating the appropriate process and peer review panel
  • briefing panellists, preparing and writing review reports.

Anabel’s qualifications include Bachelor of Applied Science - Planning and Urban Design (RMIT University).

Anabel enjoys the strategic and city-shaping aspect of public projects. She is a passionate advocate promoting high quality outcomes for public spaces that show care and respect for our community.
