The OVGA congratulates the winners of awards in the AILA State awards.

The Victorian AILA Landscape Architecture awards celebrate excellence across a broad range of landscape projects. The awards highlight the importance of landscape architecture in creating high quality spaces in maturing cities. The awards also emphasised the value of design competitions and statewide strategies.

The Award of Excellence Civic Landscape went to Brunswick Town Hall Precinct Upgrade by Moreland City Council. This project consolidates a civic heart and supports community use.

The Siting and Design Guidelines for Coastal Areas by Realm Studios received the Landscape Planning Award of Excellence. These guidelines show how holistic contextual analysis informs good coastal design.

WaterLore: Learning from the Drylands received the Research Policy and Communications Award of Excellence. The work by Melbourne University’s School of Design mapped river systems to understand resilience.
