Lorrae Wild is a registered landscape architect and practicing urban designer. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture. Lorrae's design leadership in public infrastructure has been recognised with:

  • The AILA National Award for Leadership in Public Infrastructure Design and Delivery, VicRoads

Building on 20 years experience as a Principal Urban Designer with VicRoads, Lorrae leads the advice and advocacy for the Government Architect’s transport team. She is a specialist in the design, delivery and planning of complex public infrastructure projects.

As a university industry partner, Lorrae has contributed to transit-oriented research projects, design studios and study tours. She has played a significant role in shaping significant transport projects in Victoria:

  • Urban design principles and processes for the level crossing removal projects.
  • Major freeway infrastructure including the Craigieburn Bypass and North East Link.
  • Level Crossing Removal program and Melbourne Metro.
  • Victorian Movement and Place framework.
  • Pedestrian bridges and walking and cycling infrastructure including the Yarra Darebin Trail.

Lorrae has been a member of the Victorian Design Review Panel since its inception. She also serves on design juries.

Lorrae is passionate about delivering high-quality integrated design outcomes for city-shaping infrastructure projects.
