Michael leads the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in the introduction of Universal Design principles.

He is a strong advocate for embedding the principles of Universal Design in built environment projects and government policy.

Michael has provided advice on projects including:

  • aquatic centres
  • State basketball Centre
  • Melbourne Park redevelopment
  • Melbourne Cricket Ground redevelopment

He ensures Universal Design principles are embedded in projects across government.

Michael has gained expertise on worldwide trends and thinking within this field through his work globally.

Michael is a triple paralympian, representing Australia in wheelchair basketball.
