Sarah Lake

Sarah has expertise working with complex existing building projects and has an interest in adaptive reuse.

Sarah is a registered architect with over 16 years experience. She has her own practice and collaborates with other architects and artists in Melbourne and more recently in Adelaide.

Sarah has experience in working with a variety of project scales and complexities including:

  • urban design
  • strategic planning
  • residential
  • multi-residential
  • retail
  • cultural buildings
  • sport and recreation buildings

She was the team and design leader for SLASH + PP on the winning entry for the International Royal Adelaide Hospital competition in South Australia. It resulted in ongoing research with the SA Government on the development of a Strategic Framework for the site along with a Feasibility Study for the CBD High School.

Sarah is involved with the Constructive Mentoring Program and Small Practice Forum at the Australian Institute of Architects. She is also a:

  • tutor at RMIT University in Australian Architectural History
  • guest critic at RMIT, Monash University and the University of Melbourne

Sarah graduated with first class honours in architecture from RMIT University.
